FAQs; where does everything come from?

Are all your products handmade or locally sourced?

Everything that is made out of polymer clay is handmade by me in my little home office studio. I now design and make my own clay cutters as well so some of my designs are truly one of a kind and custom to Lil' Ditti's.

All the hardware I use in my jewellery and accessories are high quality stainless steel, it's really important for me to know that my pieces will last and so I source all my hardware from @banjosbeadhouse and they are always high quality, survive the test of time and do not snap and fall apart. If you're a maker looking to get supplies I have linked their website HERE

My stickers are produced in house here in my home office, they are printed on matte vinyl sticker paper that I purchase from another local business @shikudesigns, and I really love working with this paper. All the stickers are laminated to be water and tear resistant.

The buff Ditto plushies are manufactured locally by @MelScribbles who is another small business owner based in Melbourne, Australia.

My branding has been designed and created by @SephineDark, another local australian small business who did a fabulous job with the logo and bringing my colour palette to life.

All of my packaging materials (backing cards) are printed locally by @ImplantMedia in my efforts to try and keep as much of my business process locally sourced as possible.

The giant Lil' Ditti's logo and any acrylic display bits and bobs are created by the very talented @Amandala.Life, once again a local aussie small business who works with acrylics and laser cuts like a wizard.

The acrylic/epoxy keychains are the only product that I outsource to a manufacturer and they are made by Vograce.

What are your earrings made of?

Most of my accessories and jewellery pieces are made out of polymer clay. Polymer clay is a really fun thermoplastic that can be moulded and shaped into whatever your brain can come up with, once baked it's an incredibly hard wearing material that is resistant to breakage, discolouration and degradation (especially if you look after your pieces properly). A lot of my pieces are also carefully coated in UV resin for extra shine and longevity, the product listings will always have photos and detailed descriptions on what the piece is made/constructed out of.

All hardware (hooks, jumprings, etc.) is high quality stainless steel from a local supplier, I also have sterling silver hooks available on request in case of severe sensitivities. For studs I do carry acrylic stud bases but as the process for creating studs is different to hooks, these are only available for custom orders at this stage.

All my pieces can be customised to be clip ons as well, if its hooks this can be done directly at the time of ordering, for custom pieces my email or Instagram inbox is always open.

Why "Lil' Ditti's"?

My partner and I were brainstorming what to call the business when I had to register for an ABN, and Lil' Ditti is something he's affectionately called me throughout our time together, since I'm making little trinkets, it just seemed to fit. You get to take home your own Lil' piece of my work :)

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet, at this stage I'm still in the small building up phase of this and international shipping is just not feasible for me and would be extraordinarily expensive for the customer as well. When the online business is a bit more developed and shipping isn't so prohibitively expensive, international shipping is definitely on the books. For now, local delivery within Australia and sometimes Singapore if I'm travelling back home.
